Recovery Support for Students and Parents
Peer Support, Recovery Coaching, and Family Programs
Finishing treatment or leaving a program is often just the beginning. What happens next — the daily choices, the friendships, the routines — is where recovery is built, and it's rarely something a teen or a family can do alone. Teen Recovery Solutions' Recovery Support Services give teens a place to keep growing after school and give parents the tools and community to support them along the way.
Every weekday after school, our Alternative Peer Group brings teens together for connection, accountability, and substance-free activities with others who understand exactly what they're navigating. Recovery coaches work one-on-one with students to build the everyday skills that sustain progress, while school counselors and social workers help with everything else life brings.
Because recovery changes the whole family, not just the teen, TRS offers parent support groups, parent coaching, and a monthly Family Night open to the entire community, where parents and caregivers connect, learn, and stay involved. The result is a layered support network that helps recovery last long after the school day ends.
Alternative Peer Group
Every weekday after school, teens already connected with TRS gather in a structured, substance-free space centered on connection and accountability. Through group discussions, mentorship, and shared activities, students build genuine friendships with peers who understand what recovery takes — not just in theory, but every single day.
Recovery Coaching
One-on-one recovery coaches work with each student to set goals, build coping skills, and navigate the everyday challenges of recovery — stress, relationships, motivation, and decision-making. It's steady, individualized support tailored to each student's path forward.
Family & Parent Support
Recovery changes the whole family, and TRS walks alongside parents and caregivers as well. Through parent support groups, one-on-one parent coaching, and a monthly Family Night open to the public, families build the tools and community to support their teen without losing themselves.
Everday Life
Recovery support works best when it's part of a teen's regular routine, not an occasional appointment. That's why the Alternative Peer Group meets daily, right after school, making peer support a habit rather than a special event.
School Counseling
TRS school counselors help students navigate the academic and social sides of daily life, including course planning, conflict, motivation, and the everyday ups and downs of being a teenager. We’re providing a clear understanding of how recovery fits into that picture.
Social Work
TRS social workers help connect families to community resources, navigate practical challenges, and coordinate support across school, home, and community. Catching gaps before they become bigger problems leads to sustained sobriety and better outcomes.
Care Coordination
Many of our students and families already work with outside providers, and we see our role as complementary, not exclusive. With a family's consent, our team coordinates with outside providers to keep everyone on the same page.
No Judgement
No one at TRS has to explain their story or defend their recovery. Staff and peers alike operate from a place of understanding, which is often the first thing families say they were missing elsewhere.
Connection
The Alternative Peer Group meets daily and is built specifically for teens already connected with TRS. Family Night is different — it happens once a month and is open to the entire community, whether or not your family has any other connection to TRS.
For Parents and Caregivers
Recovery isn't something a teen goes through alone, and it isn't something a parent should have to figure out alone either. TRS builds parents and caregivers directly into the process.
Parent Support Groups
Ongoing groups where parents and caregivers connect with others who understand exactly what this season entails — the wins, the setbacks, and everything in between. No one has to carry it alone or explain it from scratch.
Parent Coaching
One-on-one coaching gives parents practical strategies to support their teen at home. Parents learn communication skills, how to set and maintain boundaries, and the daily decisions that reinforce recovery.
Family Nights
Once a month, parents, caregivers, and teens come together as a community to connect, hear from other families, and mark progress together. It's a reminder that no one's doing this alone.
